Happy Halloween

Thing 1 and Thing 2 had quite an exciting evening running around the halls of our apartment building.  Only made it to 3 or 4 doors for Trick-or-Treating, but it was lots of fun.

Fall weekend in Maine

Playing in the leaves and walking in the woods -- perfect autumn diversions in Maine.

Babies' First Haircut

On October 16th, at the ripe old age of 17 months, the boys finally got their first haircut.  It was time.  Their hair was touching their shoulders when it got wet!

Pumpkin pickin'

We took advantage of the gorgeous fall day yesterday to head out to a farm in the country and go pumpkin picking!  I think the boys had almost as much fun as we did :)  It was really a perfect day.

Our summer vacations 2010

The boys had fun in the sun all up and down the east coast this year -- from Central Park in NYC to Cape Cod and Maine. Click on the picture above to see more. Happy 1st Birthday!

The boys officially turned 1 on May 13th, but we had a full week of celebrations to mark the occasion. Cake and presents at Grandpa J's; cupcakes at Grammie Lee's; more cupcakes both in Central Park and at home. These kids are learning how to party early!!

Snapshots from April and May

Several cute pictures, including a brunch out with another set of twins!

Spring has sprung! Easter 2010

We made sure to initiate the boys into the most important Easter tradition -- egg decorating! We'll wait for next year to introduce them to the second most important tradition -- chocolate eating!! Snow in the city

We had a couple snow storms in January and February that gave us a great opportunity to get the boys bundled up. We headed to the park about a block away from us and did a little sledding, but the boys mostly enjoyed watching the other kids slide down the hill. Lots of fun!

{By the way -- for easier viewing -- when you click on the photo above you'll be brought to the flickr site. On the right of the screen you can either click on the upper right set of images called Teelee's Photostream OR the lower right set of images called Snow in the city. If you click on the photostream you'll see EVERYTHING we've ever posted -- a lot -- but if you click on the set on the lower right, you'll only see the images we've loaded for this particular post.}

Happy New Year!

What a great holiday season! I've always loved Christmas and Thanksgiving, but it is so much more fun with our little guys around. This new series of posts has pics from Thanksgiving, Christmas and New Year's Eve/Day. The boys are about 6 months old in these photos, and the smiles and giggles (and teeth!) had really started to come on strong.

As I type this, the boys are now 9 1/2 months old...seems unbelievable to us. They are starting to crawl (picture the breakdance move: The Worm) and definitely recognize us and are so excited to see us. We are truly having a blast and can't even remember what it was like before their arrival -- what did we do with all that spare time?!?!

Enjoy the photos! Love to all.

Happy Halloween!

Halloween was so much fun this year -- not for Birch and Cormac, of course; they just thought the people that feed them had lost their minds. But, Matt and I had a blast dressing the boys as a lobster and a pumpkin:

That is Birch as the lobster and Cormac as the pumpkin.

Our big plan was to answer the door for the trick-or-treaters while holding Birch and Cormac in our arms. Matt and I each managed individually to get to the door with one costumed baby, but never did we get both boys to the door at once. For some reason, they weren't loving the constricting, hot, but super cute outfits. Strange...

After about a half hour, we returned the boys to their street clothes and had fun seeing what all the kids in the building were dressed as. Lots of superhero boys and princess girls.

Apple Picking October 2009

IMG_2684
Originally uploaded by teelee!

On October 4th, the weather was getting cooler and we decided to take the boys apple picking at Maskers Farm in Warwick, NY. It seemed the rest of Manhattan, NJ, Long Island and Southern CT had the same idea. Though the orchard - at times - felt like Times Square at rush hour, we were able to find a spot away from the crowds and enjoy the beautiful autumn day. We were fortunate that Uncle Pete and Aunt Heidi made the journey as well since they helped us out with the boys’ nap times and feedings on-the-go. The photos are looking a bit over-exposed, but there are some great ones of the boys surrounded by apples. Enjoy!

The Kendall Family Reunion and Lobster Bake took place the second week of August. Birch and Cormac were introduced to their very large extended family at that time. Then it was off to Beaver Island for an absolutely perfect week of Maine summer weather. Above you see the boys enjoying a nap on the porch in the bird cage. A pretty weak set of Fire Island photos. The boys had their first ferry ride, but did we capture that for posterity? Nope. It was a very hot weekend, so, as you'll see, we spent most of the time inside, in front of fans. Above is a photo of Birch....click on the picture to see more.
